New haircut!

This strays a little from our healthy conversations on the blog but...I just got a totally different haircut! I chopped a ton of it off so it's above my shoulders now AND i got bangs! They aren't straight across, over to the side. It's so different though and I'm trying to get used to it. I wanted a more angled cut but she did it very bluntly so it kind of looks like a wig :) a cute one, though! goo...i wish you were here to see it and give me some feedback. i really do like it...just trying to get used to it. healthwise i'm doing ok....am going to weigh in tomorrow and report. i stocked my fridge with lots of healthy food - tried to get mostly organic. haven't worked out in a few days because i've been so busy with piano and internship. how have you been doing???

hey hey!

nice job buddy! it sounds like you are doing great! have you been weighing in every day or periodically? i have been going through a serious phase of bloating. much worse than usual so i've been feeling terrible, pms-y, and definitely not wanting to weight myself. it's been getting a little bit better and i've still been eating relatively ok throughout. i did a great workout today and think the bloat is getting a little more under control. i NEED to make sure i'm eating normally every day. with internship starting, i've been not planning very well :( am going to the grocery store tomorrow, though. at least i'm not overeating...if anything, i'm undereating but i know that throws my metabolism off too. goo!! i will weigh in either tomorrow or tuesday and report it. keep up the great work. the card i'm sending you has been sitting next to me on my desk for about 2 weeks now. i'm sure it's doing a great job motivating you from indiana :) i will get that out asap. by the way...how was your BIRTHDAY??? we need to chat. i will check in again tomorrow. keep up the great work buddy! we can do this! OH....i also read a ton of good stuff in my Health magazine and will totally share...there is one article about shedding those "last 10 pounds". it wasn't great but a little helpful! ok...talk to you later!

yipee!

Today I worked so its always pretty hard to eat great when there is whip cream and carbs everywhere I look. I did do really well. I brought my own creamer and had some coffee, just one cup and a bran muffin for breakfast. For lunch I had a veggie burger on a whole wheat bun with some fruit on the side. For dinner I had a veggie burger grilled with cole slaw, watermelon, and a deviled egg. Thats it for today! I feel very motivated. I will check in tomorrow. How are you?

So far so good...

Still at 152 as of this morning. Thats what I was figuring. I did 30 min of Tae Bo this morning has a slim fast for breakfast and some coffee. For lunch I will have a whole wheat bun with a veggie burger and and apple. For dinner its grilled chicken, tomato basil mozzarella salad and mixed veggies. I am feeling very motivated and inspired. How are you?

Here we go!!!

Okay, so I am so ready to get back on track. I did weigh myself this morning and was at 152. Thats not bad considering I haven't been eating great or working out either! I decided to take a different approach on my goals. I would be so thrilled to see 149 since it has been since I was three months pregnant that I have seen that number!! This is my new short term goal. Once I reach that then I can really celebrate and then reevaluate the situation for my next goal. I decided that I should give myself a week and a half to reach my 149 goal....so that would be a week from this Friday or so.
Anyway, I am so glad you had a great trip and are ready to take on your goal again. We can totally do this! I hope we can talk soon but I also know we are both busy and it seems we are missing each other when we try to call. Thats fine because I am always here thinking about you and cheering you on in my head and always hoping you are having wonderful days with wonderful experiences!

Ahem...Let me start this up again!

Ooh...I've been very very bad about checking in! As your voicemail indicated, you have been crazy busy as well. SOO....here we go. I have not weighed myself in a long while...felt OK when I got back from Croatia...very good, actually. Then my stomach got all crazy and I wasn't able to eat anything for a few days. When my appetite did come back, I was craving crap food :) What a surprise! Anyhow...my eating has been pretty terrible. And I've been sick so have not been working out. BUT...today was a nice turn-around. I just worked out for 50 minutes, did some abs, and have eaten quite well. I had a banana pancake for breakfast, have been drinking a lot of water, had leftover pad thai for lunch, and am making a light tuna salad and fresh tomato bruschetta for dinner. Maybe salad, too. I'm turning it on around!!! I am going to give you a buzz tomorrow. Hope you are doing super and have gotten back on track! Miss you!

Hiya!!!

Sounds like you are doing great! i am so curious to see what i weigh when i get back. the food we are eating is not all that healthy BUT i am walking an insane amount here. and sweating like a pig from the heat....i should be shedding pounds in light of all the sweat im producing! so how is the homefront?? anything else new? my legs are feeling a little more toned...not surprising. it is incredibly hard not to form a complex here. seriously, almost every woman here is 6 foot and totally gorgeous with these long, perfectly toned legs. im not kidding...its almost a little freaky. anyhow...though ive been walking everywhere i feel like a midget troll next to all of these european women! crazy crazy! id better run...i think im going to try and get a facial! never had one before. keep up the great work! i will check in again tomorrow. miss you!
